Program

The goals of the program reflect the general and specific goals of technical training. The Digital Marketing AEC program aims to allow students to develop the skills necessary to work as a digital marketing technician. They will acquire skills in intelligence, strategy, community management, SEO (natural and paid), content creation, CMS use, UX and customer service, among others.   More generally, through the concepts to which they will be exposed in class, the learning activities offered and the internship, they will also develop a behavior appropriate to the integration of the work functions targeted by the program.

  • In accordance with the general goals of technical training, the specific training component of the AEC program in digital marketing aims to :
  • Enable students to become competent for the job function targeted by the program
  • Perform the functions, tasks and activities of the profession to a sufficient level to be hired as a digital marketing technician.
  • Help students integrate into working life by providing general information on the job market, as well as an understanding of the context specific to the profession targeted by the program.
  • Encourage students' personal development and ongoing professional growth.
  • Ensure students' future mobility by helping them develop career management skills.

Prerequisites

  • Quebec post-secondary Diploma or equivalent and computer literacy
  • English language requirements: Ielts 5.0 (nothing less than 5.0 in any individual module) or equivalent accepted test (duolingo, Matrix, Language Canada  accredited members, TOEFL etc…) 
  • Exemption: Students having a High School Diploma from native English speaking countries (example: Nigeria, Philippines)
  • French language requirements: A1 to B2 French program (4 levels) is mandatory for those students who wish to pursue AEC in English; 
  • Exemptions from French program registration: Students are exempt from Matrix College’s French language program, if they produce a proof of B2 level third party test / Matrix’s online placement test or have a High School Diploma in French from French speaking countries or have a B2 level certificate from Languages Canada accredited members.
